Our story: how GO Medics came about

A link between the German-speaking countries and South-Eastern Europe

GO Medics was founded out of a personal and professional connection with Croatia and Slovenia. Our aim is to bring patients from Germany, Austria and Switzerland together with qualified medical partners in Croatia and Slovenia. GO Medics stands for personal care, transparent information and reliable support — from the first enquiry to the treatment and beyond.

The founding idea and motivation

The idea for GO Medics came from the conviction that medical care abroad can be an interesting alternative for patients from German-speaking countries — provided the quality, the communication and the organisation are right.

As the owner of GO Medics, I have family roots in this region and have spent more than 20 years there for professional reasons. That is why I know the people, the mentality and the regional particularities very well. Valuable personal and professional contacts have grown over the years. We are also familiar with the legal and economic conditions on the ground — an important basis for serious and lastingly successful placement.

What our patients need

Many patients want:

• Support in German, or at least easily understandable communication
• Transparent information about the treatment, the costs and the process
• A personal contact before and during the trip
• A possible saving compared with the German-speaking countries
• Help with scheduling, accommodation and transfers
• The option of combining the treatment with a stay or a holiday

Medical quality always comes first. A possible saving is an additional benefit, but no substitute for professional qualifications, modern equipment, transparent advice and reliable aftercare.

Important steps in our development

Autumn 2024: GO Medics is founded

Developing the concept, defining the medical specialities and building a suitable partner structure.

2025: agreements with partner clinics

The first agreements with partner clinics in Croatia and Slovenia were concluded — with clinics that match the standards of GO Medics and the expectations of our patients.

Spring 2026: first test phase

Arranging treatment for selected patients in order to test the processes in practice: handling enquiries, the information required, communication with partner clinics, coordinating appointments, travel and accommodation as well as aftercare.

From September 2026: the full range of services

A personal first consultation, arranging suitable partner clinics, organising appointments and travel as well as support with communication before and after the treatment. At the same time, stronger communication on social media begins.

We help patients to decide in a well-informed and confident way — with understandable communication, realistic information, transparent processes and personal support.
