Nose Correction / Rhinoplasty
Change the size and shape of your nose – optimize your appearance – correct breathing difficulties
About the treatment
A nose correction (rhinoplasty) is a surgical procedure that changes the shape, size, or proportions of the nose. It can be purely cosmetic or simultaneously correct functional problems such as impaired nasal breathing.
What is it about?
In rhinoplasty, the cartilage, bone, and soft tissue structures of the nose are precisely reshaped. Common concerns include a nasal hump, a deviated nose, an overly wide or drooping nasal tip, flared nostrils, or a deviated septum with breathing difficulties.
The procedure is usually performed under general anesthesia and typically takes about 1 to 3 hours. Depending on the findings, either an open or closed technique is used; when combining correction of shape and breathing, this is called a septo-rhinoplasty.
Benefits of rhinoplasty
- More harmonious facial proportions and profile
- Correction of nasal hump, deviated nose, or wide nasal tip
- Improved nasal breathing at structural narrowing points
- Combination of cosmetic and functional correction in one procedure
- Long-lasting, stable results
- Greater confidence and well-being
- With closed technique, usually no visible external scars
- Individual adaptation to your face, wishes, and breathing function
It is important that a good nose correction always considers both aesthetics and breathing: a beautiful nose should look natural and remain fully functional
