The DHI method (Direct Hair Implantation) is considered one of the most advanced hair transplant techniques and is especially valued for natural hairlines and high density.

1. Maximum precision in angle, depth and direction

With the Choi implanter (a special pen with a hollow needle), the surgeon can place each follicle exactly at the desired angle (typically 40–45°), at the right depth and in the right direction – without opening channels beforehand. This leads to particularly natural results, especially along the hairline

2. Higher graft survival rate

Because extraction and implantation follow each other directly with DHI, the grafts spend less time outside the body ("out-of-body time"). Studies and clinical reports show survival rates of over 90–95%, compared with 85–90% for classic FUE.

3. No channels need to be opened beforehand

Unlike the FUE method, the separate step of cutting channels (slits) is not needed. Implantation takes place directly into the scalp in one step, which makes the procedure less invasive and lowers the risk of infection.

4. Implantation between existing hair is possible (no shaving needed)

DHI makes it possible to place grafts between existing hair without having to shave the recipient area completely. This is ideal for women or patients with thinning but still present hair who want to keep the procedure discreet.

5. Faster recovery and fewer side effects

Thanks to minimal tissue trauma and no pre-made incisions, the scalp heals faster: crusts and redness often subside after 5–7 days (with FUE rather 10–14 days). There is also less bleeding, swelling and infection.
